Here is an article with video that you might find interesting. For more than two years, conspiracy "nuts" have been contending that Building 7 of the World Trade Center complex (a block away from the twin towers) was purposefully demolished in an industrial-type, controlled demolition. No planes hit that building and very little debris from the twin towers landed on it. There was only a small fire on the upper floor. It is important to note that no modern steel skyscraper in history has collapsed due to fire.
Skyscrapers just don't fall down as any civil engineer will tell you. Yet on 9/11 three skyscrapers collapsed in one day, with one of them (building 7) falling for no apparent reason. Even when building 7 fell, major news anchors like Dan Rather reported live that it looked like a "controlled demolition".

To make a long story short, conspiracy theorists jumped all over the video of building 7. The US government conducted a "study" and quickly determined that the building probably collapsed due to some unkown reason (eventhough the only fires were on the upper floors). They absolutely denied any planned demolition. But now, two years later, the owner of the World Trade Centre site, Larry Silverstein, admits in a PBS documentary that they did in fact demolish building 7 on 9/11! Of course the major media is not focussing on this story. And the big question remains - how did they demolish the building on the afternoon of 9/11 when it is a known fact that it takes a couple of days to carefully rig a building for a controlled demolition; and that is under "normal" conditions. On 9/11 there was total chaos, fires that had to be put out and hundreds of dead firemen earlier in the day. When in the world did they get a chance to wire the entire building for collapse? If they did wire it, this could only have been done on a prior day. That's my conspiracy rant for the day! :-)

Where? Where did the owner EVER admit this? That is the statement you are not understanding. Watch the video and listen carefully. His statement is quite clear to me. The fire chief said that he didn't think they were going to be able to get the fire under control. The owner, already upset about the great loss of life wanted to avoid putting more firefighters in harm's way and requested that the FIREFIGHTERS be pulled. There was no order to demolish the building. They were just asked to let it go.

See a doctor man. Really. Paranoia is a sign of much more serious problems.

This is common parlance in the world of industrial demolition. On that very documentary, just before they *demolish* the burnt out remains of building 6, a worker says quite plainly that they are going to "pull" building 6.

Larry Silverstein uses the exact same terminology in the same context. They agreed to "pull" building 7, i.e. demolish it. The video of building 7 is completely consistant with a timed demolition. And I will repeat what I said before: NO MODERN SKYSCRAPER IN HISTORY HAS COLLAPSED DUE TO FIRE. Yet building 7 collapses due to some small fires on the upper floors - IMPOSSIBLE!!!

Only the twin towers were hit by fuel-laden airplanes.

Building 7 was located a block away from the twin towers and was only hit by some small debris that landed on the roof. The fires in building 7 were small and were confined to the top floors. Yet the building collapsed, as in a controlled demolition, as if its support beams were strategically blown away. And then the building collapses from the bottom first.

Or is it more likely, as many have contended for two years, that 9/11 was not an intelligence failure - it was a stunning intelligence success. The entire operation was funded, managed and engineered by the US government. They created a Pearl Harbor like event as the only way to gain mass support for a perpetual global war - a war designed to pilfer all remaining oil reserves on the planet and secure it for America.

The deeper you dig, the more you see the obvious - all towers of the WTC complex were rigged prior to 9/11 for controlled demolitions. They left no stones unturned. Even if the planes on 9/11 missed their targets, those towers would have been taken down anyway and they would have simply blamed it on Bin Laden's "bombs" that were placed in the buildings.

Two years after 9/11 the evidence continues to pile up to show that the government's story is the ultimate conspiracy theory and that the real culprits have gone unpunished.

But the government never lies right? Of course not! Watergate never happened. The Pentagon Papers never happened. There are tons of weapons of mass distruction in Iraq.....

Look, both sides of this argument get nowhere by calling names and insulting.

If you listen to Larry Silverstein he says "We decided to pull." that can be interpreted as meaning to ' pull out '. When you're in a dangerous situation you don't always use the entire phrase.

The collapse of these big buildings does raise a question to the uniformity of the collapse. Modern construction allows for a building to fall in on itself instead of laterally minimizing the damage to surrounding areas. Had the twin towers fallen laterally there would have been 4 times the damage and perhaps casualties.

These buildings housed numerous incandescents and explosive materials. We still don't know how many bombs the terrorists may have planted over a long period of time.

It'll take the experts awhile longer to figure out what happened but that doesn't mean we should shy away from alternate analysis. We know for a fact that our government has been compromised before by people using our trust to fuck us over, perform ghoulish experiments on us and downright murder us.

The numbers of these victims is in the tens of millions going all the way back to the 50's.

That doesn't mean we can go off half assed and accuse people of things without proper objective investigation.

Trust, but verify.

The CIA and other government agencies had offices in building 7 and had total access. You're telling me that it would be impossible for a skilled team to enter the building at 3 a.m. and place small military-grade detonators on the support columns of the building?

Navy seal and Delta force teams specifically train for such missions and can clandestinely rig a building for demolition within a few hours. The charges they lay are camaflouged and virtually undetectable. That isn't science fiction. It's real life. You can even pick that up from the Discovery Channel for Christ sake.
