I don't think it's a bad idea, it's not like the person that's providing the connection is any kind of a security expert. They'll never even know.

mang... that's not nearly as bad as the fraternity house ... we borrowed cable from the church next door for 3 years... until they finally noticed we ordered about 1500 in porn and finally canceled their service...

Anyway... I think the US is getting ready to get hardcore anti about this sort of thing. Mostly because what SF has planned for the internet is nothing short of virtual communisim... starting with your internet connectivity

Canada... only the moose know for sure.

Change your boxes hostname to some sort of tame message like JustSurfing-NotSNooping-ThankYou ... although most people would probably freak anyway?

So maybe just change it to David- instead?

Dunno... the other network can get your mac address though.
