Canadian High Risk Card Processing Question

I am awear that Canadians are no longer allowed high risk card processing via 3rd party. Does this apply if a Canadian biz has it's own merchant account as well?

Can someone please link me to a site where I could learn all the in's and out's, where I could learn about opening a US or UK biz.

Another question, Who would you do with.

Paycom, Jettis or Ibill??

thx,
Ray

High risk? What kind of site are you processing for? There are SOME options for Canadians depending on what you're processing for.

Allowed?? Is there a law against it? :-) Or is this VISA North America continuing playing stupid games again?

OK.. I have not kept up on the Canadian processing problems, but you may wish to consider establishing a legal entity in another country that does not have any of these problems.

The simplest form is a UK corp (costs little) or, say, a Gibraltar corp (costs a bit more) which would then enable you to use CCBillEU and (cough) IBillEU as well as several others.

Hi Webby, Canadian banks/visa dont not allow high risk/adult anymore.

I was looking into opening in the UK, I would need a link that tells me how to do it. I would like to learn about it before I jump in, invest a fortune only to lose it cause I did somthing wrong.

Thx

Hi Ray... check out this site:

http://www.jordans.co.uk

Jordan's are "the" main formation agents in the UK and can set up a corp in 48 hours. The cost is not much - like $200 ish. One thing that is relevant is that this needs to be a "non-resident" company. You can then get a bit of paper from the UK Inland Revenue where there will be no taxes applicable within the UK. (Tho there is no reason why your bank accounts should not remain in Canada).

Also consider Gibraltar as a jurisdiction - the govt there are currently willing to commit to a 25 year no-tax agreement for non-resident companies, tho I doubt that will last, so better to move quick if yoy are thinking of this area.

Hope this helps!

My pleasure!

Now.. get that crap outta the way and start using all the, least what is known of em, - stable processors - IBillEU, CCBillEU *wince* without opening your legs to the current VISA North America scenario with $750 fees and a sperm count.

You just dumped that crap :-) As to how long it will last in Europe is anyone's guess, but sure is far better than dealing within the US at present.

Good luck!

Webby,

Sorry to bother you again. I contacted one of the third party processors they said not only do I need a UK corp., but principal address must be the same as the UK company. I thought this was rule applied to US corps. only?
I hope this does not mean I need to rent office space in the UK, It's very do-able but a real pain in the ass concidering im in Canada.

thx,
Ray

Like Webby put it
"without opening your legs to the current VISA North America scenario with $750 fees and a sperm count"
