People talk that way because nobody bothered to tell them it was incorrect. Maybe people should start correcting others when they speak with broken or improper English.

I dont think anyone is seriously dumb enough not to know that it is wrong. I think its more of a fashion, just like how it is cool to say "aks" intead of "ask" if you are a homie. Completely stupid and rediculous but that has never stopped fashion before!
