This month is ROUGH

I myself am going through the worst month in years. The traffic is flowing as per usual, but the sales just aren't coming along as they should.

I'm convinced that something is very, very, very fucked up and needs fixing. I just don't know what. Maybe I'll go jump off a bridge.

Anyone else having a tough month?

Hits on our site are way down, half the normal level. But it's early and I reckon 80% of our hits are surfers. Get a lot from SE traffic.

But turnover, besides the specials we run, is normal.

I've heard from some mainstream people that sales are way down because it's right after Christmas.

Yes, the last few days have been really odd.

Traffic is normal, sales are 50% down.

Today is way fucked up, worst day in years!

I'm feeling really bad about this, there is no way that all that traffic can be there, but sales be this low. It is strange to say the least.

I'm going to get in some new content and domains, and start some fresh campaigns. Hopefully everything will clear up in time for February.

Believe me, we've all had that feeling. Unless there's a major technical change that affected how you market, it will even itself out. Its all about adaptation.

Just go to the beach and watch the ocean. Business is no different. Everything comes in waves. Sometimes you get large waves. Sometimes small waves. And sometimes the ocean just goes calm and flat with no waves at all.

Its nature's way and she's in charge.

We feel your pain. This month has been way below average, but January usually is.

Reasons:

1, Surfers credit cards are full.

2, You pay in january for the time you spend celebrating for the holidays in December, if production is low so are sales.

It will turn around soon.
