anyone run a messageboard?
just wondering whats the best way to go about getting a message board active? I have people coming to my site, but i think by having a tagboard it's drawing away from the fact that there is a message board on the site. any advice as to what to do?

Stock it with posts from made up accounts. It will draw your regular posters and once you have a stable base of these, stop the fake posts and start promoting heavily so lurkers and more importantly more posters can check out your board. Be a ware though... many have tried...but no one can beat or even match... GFY--the best adult webmaster board out there

if you have a message forum with some posts ya could always add a top 5 or 10 posts stats info box on your main page somewhere to draw attention towards it as well

Set up a few aliases. Have one be a jew, one be a nazi, one be a hardcore liberal and throw a sean hannity clone on there. Things will pick up once you get everyone really pissed.

yup thats the best you can do make fake accounts, and get your mates and shit to join up to get things flowing aswell
