Last Stretch to Vegas (from LA) ... WTF

I've been driving to Vegas for a long time and I'm not sure exactly at what point I reazlied this, but this time it came to me.

On the last stretch (maybe 30 miles) the road changes to a strange feel and sound. What happends is it makes you hear allot of the noises in your car and it almost sounds as if your car could be having problems. It's quite annonying. Reminds me of driving across a bridge, but of course, there is no bridge.

Anyhow, maybe I'm paranoid (who on GFY isn't) but I THINK that it's done purposely as a WAKE UP! call from all the casinos to get ready, because YOUR HERE.

I could be wrong, but I remember in the past actually seeing people pulling over, checking out there cars, etc. I know the boys in Vegas are smart who put all the shit together, but jesus, that's kinda insane if you ask me.

Am I crazy or ???

They are grooves in the road to keep you from hydroplaning downhill when you are in a hurry to get to the tables. Yes, you are paranoid. They are in freeways all over the US.
