yes you are right but it can be done.

as a kid I was into Ham Radio and the ham op's did have a satellite.

took some doinf but I diid get into it and heard myself get into it.
for real.

radio sigs travel at 360,000 miles per second or something like that.

yeah I know hard to believe.

how about your internet connection? how fast is that?

exactly but the idea of "a radio signal at 360.000 miles per second" is difficult to imagine.

Unlike a signal tranmitted by wire a radio signal is very abstract
and although humans (like you) understand how things work
i think its impossible for the human brain to really grasp the process behind it.

Puzzles me.. but then again: i have trouble hitting the 'post reply' button

The distance between Earth and Mars on landing day was about 170 million kilometers. Takes about 9 minutes 46 seconds for the radio and video signals to travel that distance each way.

It's frightening when people dont know that the speed of light in a vacuum is only 186,000 miles per second, so if you got your radio signals transmitted at 360,000 miles per second, I think the government, NASA, telecommunications firms, and just about a ton of other people would be interested in your research.
