recips and free sites

after 2 days of work I have menaged to finish my 1st 4 page free site. I did a submission of my first page (index.htm) to search engines.
Now second part is submission to link lists, and that is where I get a headache...
Every link list requires a recip link, so I am planning to post my site to about 30 link lists. So what should I do with recips?
Should i make
index1.htm, index2.htm ... to index6.htm with 6 recips on each index page or...
should I maybe copy my web site to 6 different folders like:
mydomain.com/original site
mydomain.com/copy 1
mydomain.com/copy 2
mydomain.com/copy 3
mydomain.com/copy 4
mydomain.com/copy 5
mydomain.com/copy 6

Or what is the best thing to do with these fucking recips?
What is the best organisation of folders and files?
Any Ideas?

Thanks...

Definately make a seperate folder for each group of sites. Most want a recip on an index page. Try to make it not so obvious that you are doing this (such as 1,2,3) use random letters insted. This is not so much for the ll owners but to minimize people directory searching..

Just make a list. Using multiple index pages, etc. will just help you not get listed.

Don't use index1.html index2.html etc search engines see it as spam. Instead use names like main.html enter.html welcome.html entrance.html warning.html and put 8 recips on each page.

Make a bunch of doorway pages....Not every link list owner requires that their recip be on the index.html page. Look at the ones that want an index.html placement and evaluate how well you do on their traffic (you'll be able to do this better once you've made more than one site ).

Then name your other pages with names like warning.html, enter.html, home.html, etc. I sometimes use index2.html, index3.html...but try not to go overboard where the LL owner knows their on like the 33rd doorway page. Put them on a page where the recip will send some traffic back. It's a give and take realationship after all.

If you have more link lists that require an index.html placement than you have space and they seem like places that will send you some decent traffic then, copy your entire site and start with a new index.html. Doing it over and over again so that everyone is on index.html only eats up your server space.

Hope that helps

or if I submit index.htm with 6 recips of link lists?

Submit the one with top recips. You do gain some benefits to your page by submitting the best one with recips. But only if you fully optimize your site for SE's properly.

I'm curious about the reasoning behind this. I always keep a no-recip copy and submit that. What's your logic? Not arguing with you - honestly curious.

95% of all free site traffic comes from about 20 link lists.

just so you know.

Google does place some importance on an outgoing link. If the outgoing has a high PR and is relevant to the keyword you are targeting. But.. it's just one of dozens of factors used to weight a page's importance and listing.

Submit the clean one. Don't give away search engine traffic to link lists, don't teach the search engine surfers that there *are* havens of free porn conveniently listed for them out there. Get the search engine surfer to your SPONSOR as fast as possible so that they pay for the goods.

Unfortunately, what you propose above will not do anything for the free site webmaster. If you submit a site with no outbound links and consequently, no inbound links from various high PR domains, you will be wasting your time as you won't get anything back from the SEs.

There are a lot of good tips above as far as how to spread the recips around, but what works the best is to take your top level page, fill it up with 6 or so recips of the best linklists and submit that page to the SEs. Or, don't submit it at all. You will get listed in google, etc... as soon as the linklist lists you and your domain gets spidered. Which usually doesn't take long because the good linklists are spidered almost daily by google.

My best advice is to group the top linklists together on your main page for maximum SE exposure. A common grouping of top linklists are as follows:

Link-o-rama
Penisbot
Hoes.com
Megapornlinks
Richards Realm
Tommy's Bookmarks

These linklists will afford you the most traffic and the best exposure to the search engines.

I wouldn't put Tommy's Bookmarks on the index page. His traffic is good and all, but your site gets pushed off the list after a few days. I would stick only with sites that have permanent listings and a PR4 or greater wherever possible for the root page.
