Make a bunch of doorway pages....Not every link list owner requires that their recip be on the index.html page. Look at the ones that want an index.html placement and evaluate how well you do on their traffic (you'll be able to do this better once you've made more than one site 

 ). 
Then name your other pages with names like warning.html, enter.html, home.html, etc. I sometimes use index2.html, index3.html...but try not to go overboard where the LL owner knows their on like the 33rd doorway page. Put them on a page where the recip will send some traffic back. It's a give and take realationship after all.
If you have more link lists that require an index.html placement than you have space and they seem like places that will send you some decent traffic 
then, copy your entire site and start with a new index.html. Doing it over and over again so that everyone is on index.html only eats up your server space.
