I reinstalled win2k the other day, connected to my dsl, and as fast as I could, rushed to download firewall software. The machine was unpatched, and within 30 seconds of being connected, it was infected with W32/Nachi.
I'd love to get my hands on whoever released that one.  |

Ummm, not to sound like I am saying "DUH" but, umm, why not get yourself a HARDWARE firewall? Pretty much any of the dlink / linksys / microsoft router things will keep you safe from about 99% of that crap.
That would have given you more than enough time to download the software firewall so your system can run like a turtle. ;-) Alex |
