Verio .. to host with them or not?
They offer caching in 4 areas, managed firewall services along with 100% uptime and 99.9% hardware uptime. Server would be fixed within 90 mins.
Are there any horror stories I should know? Anyone host with them in Northern Cal? |

Not for Adult hosting, not at all.
No FreeBSD / OpenBSD No real Adult business knowledge and its tech requirements. No ICQ support or other chat client. You do get 50 GB of data transfer a month for $400 with your dedicated server. LOL or.... Talk to one of the many adult hosts on this board that can offer you FreeBSD/OpenBSD, Have ICQ and chat support, as well, can offer you bandwidth at MUCH more reasonable prices. Also, most hosts here are multihomed, so if one ISP goes down, the other pickup the traffic. Verio has been known to crash at times. |

I have hosted mainstream sites at verio for 5-6 years and have always been happy, for adult I would not use verio, I use webair and jupiter for adult, both are top notch
