It's not sized correctly, but it'll scale pretty easily if you use a bicubic/binlinear resample

for me i find it a little unreadable. the plain logo is ok, but that whole world+space thing is a little dated and cheesy looking.

this is plain in my opinion, nothing very hard hitting in terms of actual brand and just seems "okee". same for your friend madcapa's.

there's no need to let this clog up the thread, so i'll just say this.

i respect everyone's opinion and critiques here and don't feel the need to "back myself up" when someone states their opinon of my work, be it positive or negative.

i dare say if Kat hadn't commented on your logo, you wouldn't have commented on hers (or brought me into it)

your right, i wouldn't have... but since Kat did, I thought I'd be nice and help her out as well. Next time I'll be sure not to use the "cheesy world/space effect" lol. and maybe she'll try to work in a tad bit more "spice" w/ her next logo design.

Ain't no designer, but I thought the same, more or less. Maybe not the cheesy looking part, but I find it unreadable and a little "97ish". At smaller sizes you'd read porn, born, oorn or whatever, the word district has nothing to do with a globe as a concept and in the last example (the space view) it really reads nothing at all. I like Katsuki's a lot, it's clear and trendy. I understand that those arrows facing down give a bad or depressing sensation, tho. And I also like quantum-x logos, specially the one with several variations. Simple, easy to remember, very readable and fitting everywhere. :thumbsup

ok the size can be changed so that takes care of that... the word "District" can apply to the globe if you're looking at the earth to the universe as a whole. which could be understood through an applicable slogan.

I'd haveto agree.. there's nasty pixelisation and it doesnt really represent the brief at hand.. not dissing your skills man cos they're there.. and i'm not one to say my deisgns rock (hell they've been flattened in this comp!) but yeah i just thought alogn the same lines...

if that is really hard for you to read that text then you either need to take some english classes, or need to get your eyes checked. i'm sick of plain old logotype. "BLAH BLAH" i've done it a lot and i'm sick of it. its time for a change.

do not take personally what others are saying about your logos, they are good. you can tell that many people have just msged friends on icq to quote their logo and say it is good when in fact its horrible.

indeed.. and if you're referring to my first entry, it is easy to read... if you can't see what it says within a second of viewing the image, theres either a mental deficiency or a visual impairment..

i've done the same ol' straight line same size same font "PORN DISTRICT" logo again n' again and it just gets old. so i decided to do something different from the norm and perhaps give the site a unique sensability if only on the account of it's logo.

hell, the logo'll atleast weed out the morons from the site who have a hard time deciphering text that isn't along straight line. who needs them? :winkwink:
