I feel you've all helped me out so much, I'll keep you all posted on the situation and my point of view.

I found out, I am basically getting everything. My dad worked at IBM for 38 years. But he was a heavy alchy and it ate his body up. The doctors said he had the worse liver they had ever seen, shot lungs, clogged artiers, and an aneurism leaking down his back into his legs. Well, all that work went towards stuff like stocks, and long term money.

My dad had 2 daughters by another woman, not my mom. I don't even know the other women. My two sisters are both in their 30s, both established, both stable. I am just now turning 18. Yeah, okay, been in the biz a bit early but as long as you sending checks I'm promoting.

My dad figured, with my sisters being grown, and me being a child at the time, I am the one he needs to take care of.

My sisters got wind of this, and now they are trying to take control and go all out. They are pissing off my mother by wanting to mess with her sons grave. I had a twin brother that died at birth. They want to take that and put a whole new headstone.

Bad thing is, in my will they say my name is all throughout, but nothing about him. No one knows how he wanted buried, where he wanted, etc.

I wanted a viewing, they didn't... so we're having a viewing. They want him creamated, I said OK, we'll all take a peice of dad. But now they're trying to do all kinds of other shit.

I am just glad there is a will. I cannot believe that after my dad dying, all they're worried about is who gets what. It's so insane to me. I am actually glad if there is anything, if I get it... because I know I will make the best of it.

Anyways, thank you all so much and me and my family all send you best wishes during this holiday season

I'm right there with you. My father passed away last wednesday. I hadn't talked to him in over a year - so it came as a surprise to me. Like you father - he had drank and smoked all his life. Over a year ago his liver was down to 7%. He also had an anurism(sp?) ... that the doctors found ... almost by luck...3 years ago.

I'm not going to say any of the things everybody tries to say to make you feel better.... and I'm suer you understand why...but know that I'm right there with you...and I know you're there with me.

I know what it's like to have somebody you love die.. not to your extent but I feel for you... my good buddy I grew up with had his father die about a month ago and he's ruined.. I can't help you through it like I can him but I can give you this...

Time heals and some day you'll be re united with him.. keep that in mind bro

Thank you guys for all the help you have given Brian, me and his mom. We will be able to take the trip without running out of gas or starving. And because of the kind words our christmas will be just a little bit brighter.

As for fuckfind, we just might have to get up with you after our ordeal is over. We could just chill and have fun.

I am wondering if anyone is looking for some email lists -- I don't have anything extremely special, and they're not brand new -- but I will sell them for a good price right now. I don't mail them anyways and I need this money to get to NY this weekend. I don't even know how long I am going to be gone because they have to read the will, I have a coupel lawyers up there my dad told me to talk to if something happend to him, etc.

This is horrible, you lose your dad, your aunt, and I just noticed you lost your girlfriends uncle tragically only a month ago as well.

You really are experiencing a lot of grief and financial struggles just due to the all these mounting funeral costs.

I'll make a post when I wake up. I feel it's only right to keep everyone posted. My two half sisters are a fucking trip, let me tell you.

Ever heard of someone taking pictures at a fucking funeral? My half sister (not by choice) took pictures of my father laying in his casket, and pictures of him laying there with her kids posing in front of the casket. This is the first thing I see when I get home and check my email.

Been a very long, stressful past couple of days. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and damnit I'm GLAD new years is right around the fucking corner.

Hopefully this year I'll have some time to sit still for more than a week and get some work done, so I can pay these bills.
