Laptop Ram
I have 2 slots, i got 256 in each , is it better to upgrade both to have the same amount ie: 512 in each or can you do like 256 in one and 512 in the other? CL2.5 ram

You may want to check with your motherboard manufacture or the makers of the laptop. Now-a-days, you can mix and match RAM on most motherboards, but I would still check just for insanity purposes.
However, I would suggest you use the same chipsets (brand) on all the RAM. |

what type of ram is it? I can order for you cheap just need to know exactly what type
(e.g. pc100/pc133 size, ecc/reg/ etc)

It all depends on the MBoard. On either the placement or need for exact matching by size. ;-)

I have 12 gigs in mine. all different sizes, mostly 4 meg sims tho... oh wait.. a suitcase full of computer parts doesn't count as a laptop :/ but it fits on my lap if I have someone helping me hold it tho!
