My whole point being..... this whole Iraq thing started because of 9/11 or so that is the excuse we are getting, when Iraq had nothing to do with it. The current Administration and Congress as the duly elected representatives of the people of the USA have an obligation to do what it perceives to be in the best interests of the people that they serve. If the people do not like the way their representatives serve them...the members of the house can be replaced every two years...members of the Administration every four years...and members of the Senate every six years.

Iraq would proably have been taken down at some point with...or without 9/11...but with 9/11 there became many solid reasons for taking them down sooner rather than later. These reasons have been expounded upon by me and others...but not all agree with the reasons...which is SOP.

Our privacy can be invaded just because someone may not like what you say. I was reading an article about how homeland security can do pretty much what they want when they want by issuing themselves a letter claiming terrorism.

Go find the BBC World service and watch the intervew they did with Hans Blix, he says now there was no WMD at the time of the war. Thet aevery piece of intelligence given to him by the US was acted on and produced NOTHING. He also said when he saw the quality of the eveidence of WMD he stopped beieving there was any.

Yes, and large corporations have more power in our government than people realize with their big payoffs and campagin contribs. As for invasion of our privacy, if that is true.. it is not as in your face as what is going on now with this homeland security.

What is this homeland security anyway... what is the National Guard? Arn't they the one that are suppose to protect our nation against these atacks?

I am sure we will never agree on this... but you have to admit that this administration has gone just a bit overboard on this whole security issue.

All I know is that ALL these politicians need to be held accountable for their actions... We are no saints.. we have caused havock ourselves... we have wmd's but it's ok.

But in the end... was this war worth it? The fighting continues and people are still dying... the cost is very expensive, and our economy is suffering. And for what.. There are still people out there that hate us, if not bin ladden, saddam, if not saddam, there will be someone else that will come along that will be far worse then both of them put together.
