Not likely from that reply. Steve is far too concerned with playing political games to get in over his head in this thread. Trust me...He is already kicking his ass for posting here.

Now...I will back off the Lightspeed thing at this point. The rest of you can ride that hores as much as you like.

Oh and Steve...I have owed you $181.00 for almost 2 years now. In Montreal last year you told me you wanted it in content. Rockhard and I discuss it when we see each other at the shows but he has yet to contact me to claim it. I have a lot of new stuff that I have not made available to the general public yet. Have him get ahold of me and you guys can have an early go at it.

You can get a pass to internext if your 18+... so yes I think that if youre 18+ you should be allowed to go.

That way if something were to happen, at least you can show that you were proactive in detouring the underage from drinking.

Better yet, the under 21 crowd could be corralled into a special roped-off section of the party, served diet pepsi, and have a big "L" put on their foreheads in magic marker.

Part of me thinks I'd rather hang out there! Probably a nicer crowd

Hypothetically speaking of course.

Aaron, 7512417. As for Steve, the dirt flows in on this guy daily without me even lifting a finger. You see, he rubs alot of people in this biz the wrong way, and has alot of skelatons. Of course, when it comes down to it, he only owns 50% of lightspeed, his wife owns the other half and does all the books;-)

MetaMan 12-18-2003 12:27 PM

who the fuck cares? worry about yourself and what you do. if you are a grown man and care about what a small group of 18/yo's do you obviously lead a very boring life.

as long as they arent running around acting like punks i dont think there is a reason to care one bit. omg they had a sip to drink, someone call JESUS and the ANGEL police!

of course they should be allowed to attend, but what can they do when the convention floor itself is closed? It is against the law to serve them alcohol, so that is not an option.

However, I thought there was a wrist strap given to designate that you were over 21. Wasn't there?

Read my original post. That is my EXACT concern.

"This is going to leave fewer and fewer places for minors to hang out without forcing them into public places and increasing the risk of bad publicity."

I am going to hazzard a guess that you are a LightSpeed affiliate. :winkwink:

Ludedude 12-18-2003 12:37 PM

Instant asshole, just add alcohol :glugglug :thumbsup

FreeNetPass Jenefer 12-18-2003 12:38 PM

I'm more of an instant energy case!

Herb Kornfield 12-18-2003 12:38 PM

Events that were roundtable and open discussions that were during the day and booze free would be ideal. People could meet, discuss, present and also exchange ideas with their peers.

Nights I would prefer to reserve for a private dinner with clients, prospects and new partners that I have set up appointments with and we can sit and talk to face to face as to how we can all do business together.

Then, relax with a few drinks and getting all silly once that time comes.

You want to make a professional impression on people, after all you are asking for their money or services and this is the one time in person you may meet them face to face.

Being drunk or high isnt the best way to represent your business or for that part yourself. The impressions that you make of yoursef that one time might be the only glimpse that people know of you.

Since day one I have thought you were a fake character. If you are for real...Look me up if you are attending Internext.

i was reading "poker player" from the gambling times and some 18 year old kid from sweden won 11k.

go him.

anyway, foreign webmasters/constituents:

what are the legal gambling/drinking ages in your neck of the woods?

i think canada is like 18/19 in different places with drinking and gambling being laterally legal.

i seriously think the u.s. is just overzealous with their legal ages.

Taxes and speed limits are bullshit too. But laws are laws. If you do not like it, move to Canada.

Aaron...... The last time I talked to you we were on good terms. I like you. You crack me up. And you swallow, and that's important to me. In fact, I ended up naked in a hot tub in Vegas with one of your models there (AND THE FIRST PERSON WHO POSTS ONE OF THOSE PICTURES IN THIS THREAD GETS A PUBLIC FLOGGING IN VEGAS, SO DON'T DO IT!)...... But so far as I know you still have me on your ignore list on ICQ and you've never responded to any of my messages......

BradShaw 12-18-2003 12:51 PM

Where is Steve Jones? Looks like he was called out for supplying his under 21 models drugs and or booze. Is he out dream shopping again? Maybe this time he talked guy at cheacy dealer to let him test drive a vette, so he could snap a few pics?

from ur original quote,

its 18-19 in canada, and same with britain from what i have heard.

In Canada the only provinces that are 18 is Alberta and Manitoba, everywhere is 19.

gambling and drinking are the exact same ages, im not sure about other provinces, gambling may also be only 18 in them also.

a couple years ago the age in Arizona to gamble was 18 but they pushed it to 21 after July of last year.
