Roaches.
They're clean, they're calm, they don't eat too much, they drink a lot, and they can fun at parties.

Its that time of year huh? I was feeling the same way..so I went to the pound yesterday and to my surprise I found the cutest puppies. They are chow/rottweiler mix. They kinda look like Max from Man's best friend.

A good pet that doesnt get to big and is low maintainence is a bunny. I have had mine for a year and she's great. THey are pretty clean, love to play and they can even eat table scraps

My friend has about 40 of those. Since her roach just had babies. They are really low maintenance and pretty cool to watch.

I have one that's almost 9 months old now. The breeder I got her from also happens to be a groomer so I'm lucky in that regard. I keep her puppy cut since she's not a show dog and she looks so cute that way. She's finally realized that people think bows behind both her ears make her look so girly. She used to have them out the same day she got groomed. Now they last 2 weeks.

My 16 year old has a bearded dragon. It was his first reptile pet (he has a veiled chameleon, a python and 4 firebelly toads also). "Rex" is over 5 years old now.

If you're gonna get a dog, do some research. Dobies, although capable of being fine animals continue to have a host of genetic problems which often lead to bahvavioral problems. Make sure whatever breeder you talk to has an OFA (Orthopeadic Foundation for Animals) certs on the parents. Don't get misled by "Paper Hangers" or "Puppy Peddlars". Most often these are the breeders who rely on their AKC or UKC paperwork alone and have no clue about the dogs' breeding or what types of problems can pop up as result, because they don't care about the dogs. Also make sure that whatever breeder you talk to offers health certificates and a return policy. If they don't stand behind their breeding it should throw up a red flag. Beyond that you should considr a dog taht will fit your lifestyle and accomodations. I persoanlly breed APBT's but don't necessarily think that is the right choice for everyone. Look into adoptions. I am a big fan of Greyhound adoptions.

what kind of pet? Penthouse Pet - about the same I.Q. as a Labrador retriever and they fall for the peanut butter on the penis trick the same way.

we just shot a Penthouse Pet whose issue is coming up but I can't post any pics, awesome chick.

He's litterbox trained (pellet litter not cat litter). He can roam the downstairs (cats are upstairs) at times and always goes back to his pen for pottying. Very quiet and relaxed critter. Alot of people keep rabbits in apartments like you would a cat.

damn sean, you know your shit. a lot of that i didnt even consider but it shows you care a lot about your animals. i know a lot of folks that got papered dogs that had health problems later on in life as well. people breed too much for money sometimes. i know a guy that breeds some kind of hunting dogs and only advertises in papers in the larger cities in the northwest, as most people who dont really want a bad ass dog cant justify paying $700+ for a well bred dog.

when i was growing up i had a german sheperd, wouldnt mind having another one, but i want another high quality dog, so its gonna cost a bit, and i live in an apartment right now. dont want to get a high energy dog like that and not give it a high quality of life. i think a big dog needs room to run, dig, shit, whatever.

maybe ill get a white german sheperd or something?

if you're coming back to austin i know a place you can get roaches if that's what you want. if you get a dog you should goto the pound. they're the best dogs you can get. i found my dog on the street and he's awesome (not sure if you saw him or not). you could also get a white's tree frog. used to have a couple. they're kinda cool, or poison dart frogs, small and colorful.

stacey, bearded dragons are pretty cool. be careful if you let it run around your place, they're faster than you'd think. i used to breed them. talk about violent sex

Hey, Sherie...we've got four of those precious shih-tzus....best dogs for our situation.

They are purely bred as lap puppy 'love me' dogs....

But, ours get military shaves...'cause that grooming is a pain in the ass...their hair is so silky, it takes no time at all for it to get all tangly....but, have fun....because I think they're awesome.

They are generally low maintenance, other than grooming, although they don't like getting their feet wet....so they do resist training...

We kennel trained ours....three out of the four do fine.....course we are here all the time and they go out every two hours or so.

Awe PK she is beautiful!

Raven, I am thrilled with her... not sure what I am going to do yet as far as training is concerned. Perhaps get a few books and such for now. I gave her a bath the other day, she wasn't thrilled lol

She seems to have a really good temperment, I'm hoping that she trains well.

Also, that's her name LOL Precious! =))

we have a ummm a few pets lol
u can see them here www.s-c.net (and yeah i know.. some of the links dont work but u get the idea)

the greyhound is a rescue from the track..she had dislocated her toe racing, and as u may know..the track dogs are usually killed when they are no longer profitable for their owners.. it sucks!!! we got her from the greyhound rescue of florida...they got her from the track and cleaned her up... had her in a foster home with kids and cats and another dog or 2.. was cool...adopting her was like adopting a child...they had to come see our home..we had to sign papers... they took her to the vet and her dislocated toe had to be removed. shes most lovable..couldnt ask for a better dog.. just dont let them get out the door lol they are damn fast LOL.. oh yeah we also have a saluki..she was a big reason to look for the greyhound..we figured the only dog fast enuf to play with a saluki was a greyhound.
she was getting fat and we didnt wanna have the worlds only fat saluki. LOL and not to forget the 3 cats.. we live in a true animal house. i would recommend any rescue dog.. they need u.. and all breeds have a rescue group. u can get a great dog in most any flavor u like
