Who makes the highest converting gallery templates?

I am after some TGP galleries(for starters, 6). I would like to know who are the VERY best designers- measured by conversions.

I would like to hear from people who can recommend a gallery maker based on their own experience with them- not the actual gallery makers.

So- who makes the very best TGP gallery templates? Price is not a big issue if you are good. I will pay upfront.

Thanks in advance

Greg

IMHO it's rarely the design that converts. Yeah, you can't have a Netscape Composer looking gallery, but really, who is looking at the gallery and thinking "Wow, this is really well done". Basic layouts, focus completely on the text, that is what will sell your product.

The best guy costs exactly 100 per movie gallery template, but I think there is about a 1 month waiting list now

Exactly. Flashy designs just impress webmasters.

Thanks for the feedback Eve- in my experience what you've described in a gallery does work best. The good designers will know this too, it is exactly what i'm after.

I can't design well- it will take me ages to create something simple and effective. A good designer will know what works, is able to do it fairly quickly and everyone is a winner!

Most fancy gallery designs will do nothing more then plain and simple and the TGP's that only like fancy galleries are TGP's that will only cost you BW.

I know this is not what you wanted to hear but it's the truth.

Seriously though, nothing against good design. I just think it's a shame when people spend a fortune on a killer design and forget that text sells. Gotta look at the ROI.

My best converting galleries are this simple:

Just remember that not all designers are actually webmasters so they make nice designs but don't know what converts.

I'm booked.

I tend to agree with Eve. It's the content and the ad copy that converts, not the gallery design. Of course you need to have good desgn to compliment the content and ad copy. That being said, I'd recommend Fletch of Overmindesign He does great work, delivers on time, and the price is right.

Here's an example of a gallery he did for us not too long ago:
EXAMPLE GALLERY

for Fletch

I tend to find the best converting galleries are those that are updated often instead of remaining stagnant.

Make it fresh looking, don't make it too slutty, make people think they're going to get more on the other side of the click than they're getting by sitting gorking at your gallery, and send them to where you say you're going to.

I think that will yield the highest ratios.

This is clean and simple and converts well. Feel free to steal the layout. It took me 20 seconds.

Hey hey, did you read all my posts in this thread ; )

My best converting gallery is a short paragraph of text, 15 images and a single underlined text link. Great content.

I'm not after a fancy design- i'm after someone who will be able to communicate as clearly as possible with the surfer. A simple, very clear page which maximises click-thrus.

It takes me much longer to put together a layout like that then it does a good gallery maker. A quality layout is worth nothing without good content.

There's a big difference between a flashy gallery design for the sake of it, and a great looking advertisement.

I dont see a gallery as way to put up a few text links and "great content" if that's all you feel its worth you might not be maximizing your conversions.

Yes, a clean design will do well. But if all you have are text links there's no way you could "Describe enough" of what a surfer might be able to get at your paysite. Colors, font, pictures, these all attribute to the experience of the end user and when used properly in a marketing fashion could make a noticeable difference.

The text links should be a call to action. The advertisement (the gallery) itself should be so visually appealing (not necessarily flashy or amazing looking... just peaking their interest) as to almost sell the site before they get there. A picture is worth a thousand words. Don't forget, people viewing it are coming from TGP's mainly... a place with TONS of other galleries. You have to have an edge somehow, a way to get them to not hit the back button and click one of your links.

All in all its a combination of both.

my :2cents: .. (but ill need them back) :D

WTF??? This is a reply of a TOTAL N00B!!! Everybody knows that the design helps the convertion A LOT!

Take two different galleries with the same content and compare the results for yourself...

1. Are you even capable of comprehending what I said?
2. Are you that cocksmoker that submits tranny galleries of yourself from Czechloslovakian ips to my plumper tgp?

Really good gallery makers normaly dont make templates for other people. Ask yourself all these so called designers if thier that good why do they need extra work I know I dont need the extra cash and most people who are buying templates dont understand the difence between good and shit anyway. Ive had templates that have done over 1000 sales so the keep it fresh thing is BS they just need to be right in the first place.

All I know is that my customers are happy.

I have a bunch of repeat business so I must be doing something right.

Here's my portfolio

http://www.internationalwdc.com/clients/index.html

Here's some stuff I did about a month ago:

http://www.internationalwdc.com/clie...g/wsg/new.html

My portfolio is not up to date and if you're interested in discussing this further I would be more than happy to show you my "prettiest" galleries, and some of my "best converting" galleries according to my clients.

best thing to do is to get a designer do some of the graphics if you cant alone, but you should be the one to create the template. I never paid anyone to make me a template.
