Freeze problems on IRC with Xdcc
Ok so i'm downloading some uncopyrighted "documentary" via xdcc on (irc.rizon.net) from some bot in Japan ....at about 2mb's, & everytime i get that that kind of speed, my entire computer freezes....no blue screens, no errors, just stops working, it just freezes where it left off & you can't move the mouse.
Anyone have this problem before? Btw, using XP pro & on a 1.5ghz box, plenty of free space on the HD. |

What client are you using? miRC? Don't have that prob here with mIRC.
Didn't know if you knew, but Trillian has a built in IRC client, give it a whirl. Works nice. If not, try BitchX or Eggdrop on your unix/linux box, they are pretty fucking nice. |
