Freeze problems on IRC with Xdcc
 

Ok so i'm downloading some uncopyrighted "documentary" via xdcc on (irc.rizon.net) from some bot in Japan ....at about 2mb's, & everytime i get that that kind of speed, my entire computer freezes....no blue screens, no errors, just stops working, it just freezes where it left off & you can't move the mouse.

Anyone have this problem before?

Btw, using XP pro & on a 1.5ghz box, plenty of free space on the HD.

come on...i know most of you bastards download "documentaries"

What client are you using? miRC? Don't have that prob here with mIRC.

Didn't know if you knew, but Trillian has a built in IRC client, give it a whirl. Works nice.

If not, try BitchX or Eggdrop on your unix/linux box, they are pretty fucking nice.
