well, I believe the curiosity on any other purse's income could be out of at least but not last these reasons:

1. lack of good fresh ideas
2. lack of personal income
3. too many free time
4. willing to take it all or partly from the purse's owner (out of 1 and 2 and leads to b. or idea larceny)

and in anyway is no good as curiosity of any kind may do one of the following (in most cases all together):

a. deploy envy upon curiosity satisfaction
b. may lead to irreversibile aftereffect
c. decrease self-originality
d. decrease personal income

thus, I can assume it is all a waste of time.

you pay for the bandwidth of your banner also as you host it on your own server. I ran a banner many moons ago for a viagra site i used to run and i think it was burning 7GB a day or something silly just for the banner.
