convert WMV to AVI or MPEG?
I need to convert WMV files to AVI or MPEG. Can anyone
suggest a program? Also, my Premiere (6.5) crashes every time I want to make a WMV file, any idea why this is (no error, just closes down). Thanks, Luc L. |

why would you want to convert a nice file into something you need codecs to view (.avi) or something three times the size it is as is now (.mpg)?

I can not see any reason to move back from wmv to avi or mpeg, but TMPGEnc is doing this pretty fine

Try updating your video driver. Sounds odd, but it might be outdated. Happened with mine and works fine now.
