Google can index Fusetalk forum software?
I manage a number of Web sites for a company that has been using Cold Fusion for years, and has Cold Fusion expertise in-house and little in-house knowledge of pHp and Perl as I am used to.
We chose to go with Fusetalk message board software because it is in Cold Fusion, we get the source code, and it looks pretty damn good. I have done some testing on some sites out there that have Cold Fusion boards. I'll go to some post that is over a month old, and copy the text into Google to see if Google archived it, which of course, I want to happen. Out of the 3 sites, only one was searchable by Google. One notable site whose forums were not is Macromedia's. Very surprising. Anyway, anyone know if I have to make some modifications to Fusetalk so that Google can read it, or is it possible that the other sites simply did not want to be archived? We already have 200,000 posts on old forum software so we could instantly have tons of pages for Google to index. Lots more traffic I would hope. David |
