How to burn mpeg movies on DVDRs?

I want to burn mpeg/divx movies on DVDR so that it can be played with a home DVD player. One DVD should be able to hold 7 CD length movies. Is it possible to do?

If you want to play them in the DVD player you have to encode them into MPEG2 then author them in a DVD authoring program! And MPEG2 takes up alot more space than your DIVX files, and I could tell you they won't fit 7 CD movies on one after you encode it!

How many would they fit? I mean how many minutes of video per DVD (when converted from mpeg1 to mpeg2)?

Bout 4 hours in lower quality MPEG2 Which would probably be the same from DIVX or MPEG1 since you can't bring the qaulity up!
