Discuss what's fucking going on, and which programs are best and worst. One-time "program" announcements from "established" webmasters are allowed. |

Stop Crying About Shaving and Do Something
I've been reading this board bor the last days, and it's like some people is really fucking up the industry. I got this idea since months ago. I'd like to form a group of independent webmasters, i mean independent in the way they're not part of any sponsor program. Let's think about 20 or 30. Then other webmasters should vote 5 or 10 of them. Let's make a site with a list of Non Shaving Sponsors. Then, those sponsors who want the No Shave logo in their sites, should provide those group of webmasters all the tools necessary to audit transactions and sales. I'm thinking... will a sponsor really allow that? Who will be the first? If a well known sponsor have the No Shave logo, then the others will want to add some credibility to their programs too.
At the end, if a webmaster have 2 sponsors of the same 'line' and both of them pay the same, which one will he choose, the one with the NO SHAVE logo, or the other one? Think about a moment...let's make a non profit organization who can put an end to this (at least in a part). What will be needed? 1. Well known trusted webmasters candidates (must have skills for the future task) 2. A main site. 3. One or two designers. 4. Some php, perl programmer. 5. A lawyer (just in case). 6. The first sponsor who want to proudly SHOW the NO SHAVE logo certified by the group of voted webmasters. This will make a 'difference' between honest people and the others. I know will take some time, it's not easy, but it's NOT impossible. |

They have programs that are third party which verify stats. But it's not a fool proof system.

Self policing is one good step. Another is to form a nonprofit organization that does 3rd party audits.
