FUCK Christmas !

So fucking sick of how fake it has become. How the stores brainwashed everyone into thinking you need to spend thousands on gifts.

Whats even more fucked up is the fact that ive known this, and always felt this way, but im still out there spending thousands

every year i tell myself that i need to talk to my family and make arrangements for something else, maybe a $50 limit on all gifts? but i never do!!

i bet 8 out of 10 kids dont even know WHY we have christmas! They are brainwashed into thinking its all about the gifts

so fuck christmas and the people who have turned it into a nightmare holiday

we are living in different worlds old friend. In my world it isnt a good thing to be dropping thousands on a single day of the year, or have to start an x-mas fund just so you dont run your savings dry, lol

If you have a pleasant holiday with the family thats whats important, the gifts arent. Personally, my family always gets into arguments and all kinds of crap that I just rather avoid holidays all together. And hey if you can't limit your spending properly, you have other issues.

yep but i have hard time scaling. over the years the gifts get bigger and fancier, on both ends, even the stuff that i GET.

its cool to GET the stuff i guess, but i dont really NEED it or else i would have bought it myself lol

but now over the years you know who will be spending $1k on your gift, so you spend $1.5k on theirs. Next year it will go up .... im at the point now i think i will be in for a total of like $7k this x-mas?

vicious cycle.

and when i wrote santa my letter (yes i still do this lol) it was so hard to think of anything i needed or wanted.

if there was anything at all, i would have already bought it for myself lol

I managed to squeek a TRV33 sony handycam out of santa this year, ran her about $1.1k after all the extras .... and im not joking when i say i easily spent 4 times that on her! $4k+ !!!

fucking insanity ....

Christmas is an annoying time.. everyone"acting" jolly and nice.. then the day after its back to .. "get the fuck out of my way" when driving down the road....

and then of course there is the annoying part of spending alot of time trying to find the pefect gift for everyone.. yet no one needs anything, and they know it.. and i know it.. i dont want anything.. and neither do they, but we insist on getting something.. and you open it and its just like.. uhh.. gee.. well thanks.. another watch..

Dear Santa,

Me and mine don't realllly need anything this year but I thought I'd write on someone elses behalf...

Please bring lilRich the sense as to when to keep his mouth shut... he knows not what he does... he be messing with my bestest shoe racking up time of the year and is going to cause considerable havouc upon himself if he continues with this line of noisemaking... I spend alllll year looking at various shoes, tops and what not and allowing the hubby to see me doing so....

This hubby remembers these things and will sneak away at times to secure such items to yet again buy my good graces through another year. Did I mention shoes? I sometimes rack up a dozen new pairs for christmas! (alone)

And here comes this dummy making noise whichcould possibly be seen by my old man who might put some thought in to this negativity and malicious commentary! Which in effect, could result in my loss of the aforementioned shoes!! NO Sane person messes with my shoes

If you are out of this item, Santa, or if for some reason the item will not fit the out of date model I requested it for...

Please bring a large rock with directions printed on it such as...

Step One:
"If I feel the need to mess with Gem's Holidays Item Securement Program, please grasp rock firmly and repeatedly pound self in forehead until unconscious."

Step Two:
"Repeat as necessary."

Thank you Santa!
Yours truly,
Gem*

Its all a fucking scam, just there to drive more money, more power and more brainwashed people to an organisation..

What, you mean the symbolic birth of the pagan god on the shortest day of the year, and the celebration thereof? Or do you mean the Christian adoption of the pagan holiday in order to gain peasant converts?

I know what you mean, but what it should REALLY be about is family. And if you are making your family happy, what does the rest really matter, right? People fret so badly about the "meaning of the season" being lost, when don't even know the TRUE meaning behind it anyways. Just make sure the focus is on sharing, not greed, family, not toys, and the rest isn't AS important, is it?

yes what is the point of christmas?

the funny thing is its all jewish people who profit off of christmas,
jewish people own almost all retail and they dont even belive in jesus

its all bullshit now, not as much christmas spirit, more lazy ass parents, and less and less people putting up lights.

i think its all bullshit, lil2dick is right!

It's only as fake as you want it to be. All I want for Christmas is a nice home cooked dinner.

Stop whining about how terrible and materialistic Christmas is and go do something nice for the less fortunate. Did you donate anything to a childrens hospital this year? Or what about the local food pantry?

It's so easy to bitch about everyone else being fake, when in reality, you're fake yourself...

yep your right, i even mentioned that in my original post.

i wish i werent sucked into this whole gift mess, or i wish there were a way out without looking like a cheapo

"umm this year im not exchanging gifts" = i cant afford anything this year so lemme make up an excuse.

thats what i can bet everyone would think.

Nothing wrong with a little commercialism. Without commercialism, 1/2 the US economy will be up in smoke.
