Simple answer after years of parents seeing other children coming home in a body bags and the draft was nearing their children, money didn't seem so important plus they already made money on a worthless war. Don't take my opinions, do your own research.

Of course, no one would say that...you should do some research of why the United States pulled out?and do some more research of why the United States got into the war in the first place. Then come back here and post your thoughts/opinions.

i dont think there is a right or wrong answer to this one though, i think most of it would be opinion. the US government never tells the people shit.

How many pages? How many sources needed? What angle is it supposed to take? What was the exact wording of the assignement that you have?

Here's my opinion...it was a war that we should have withdrawn from much earlier than we did and to a large extent, it tore our country apart.

that came with the realization that it was a war we could not win anyhow. We were letting politicians in Washington do what generals in Nam should have been doing, and tying one arm behind our back, with an enemy that was prepared to die for something they believed in, and we would have had to pave Vietnam in order to win there.

Nukes may have helped, but there were too many rubber trees to be lost, plus USSR, China and Korea probably would not have reacted well.
