GRR this is pissing me off..

I formated. Flashed my Bios, Took all of the dust out of my pc...Checked all wires and my ram.


MY PC STILL RESTARTS!

in bios mode every once in awhile and in OS mode?? WTF is going on..the power dosn't even change....

Do I need a new motherboard???

Sounds like some kind of short or something. How old is the motherboard? Sometimes they can crack in extemes of temperature or sometimes just over time.. Who knows.

I donno whats going on. I know I need this fixed asap. I am trying to work on my power point.. (due tomarrow) every 10-20 mins my computer will restart. No power loss or anything.. just restarts without asking so to speak.

How could this be a power problem? All my Voltages are set. .5+/-
ect ect... I have run 350 watts with this setup for 8 months now..never a problem in the past.

give this a try:

Control Panel->System->Advanced->Startup and Recovery

uncheck the "Automatically Restart"

if you've got a software or even a driver problem causing a failure, it'll cause you to reboot even on stupid conflicts sometimes.

who knows maybe it'll work


Edit: ahh I see you said sometimes in Bios mode...
well then forget all I just said

did you try a different kind or even different brand of Ram?

Nope, I have always stuck with samsung.. I can't afford new ram =/

Like I said in your first thread, if it's not the RAM or data cables, your motherboard is shorting against your case. pull the fucker out and run it on a cradboard box until your get your shit done if you don't have another computer around.

I just caught this weird error..


Blue screen of death yet it was....Windows caught a physical error and tried to dump physical memory before restart?

Could it be that when you flashed your bios it didn't like what was under the raincoat (running away very very fast).
