When it comes to politics you should consider various factors like what kind and how the news are served to citizens, what sort of filtering has been applied and so on. This goes for every country, but there's a big difference.

A bad/"wrong" political behavior and handling in States will reflect and have negative consequences to the rest countries.

For the record, I'm not a US hater. I like most Americans that I deal with personally and professionally. I visit the US at least twice a year. I love the people of the USA, and the culture, but I hate the way it's being running and I hate thinking about the effect it's going to have on not only the USA but the entire world. I'll never understand how it's even possible, let alone probable, that Bush will be elected again after what he's doing. I understand that huge sham of a media they have down there, but I like to think that if all the news I was watching me was feeding me pure bullshit, I'd pull my head out of my ass and realize something was wrong.
