Go take economics 101. Economy has its own cycle. American economy has been at the bottom for 2-3 years, with all the job cuts and production reduction, of course the economy will recover.
Government's job is try to make the recover comes as early as possible, and what Bush admistration only made things worse. ![]()

America doesnt need any lessons from any third world craphole , thats why they are the biggest and most powerfull nation on earth. Bush didnt steal the election it was a close election that, either way the winner would have been accused of cheating. The media coverage was intense and in no way was it slanted towards the republicans as the media is not on that wing. They tried their hardest to make it a scandal , and in the end realised it can only hurt america to keep on blabbing about something that is over and done with. The previous democrats would never have been re-elected as they were pulling down scams left and right. Ever heard of marc rich ? Ever wonder why you would pardon a thief ? Both parties have assholes in power, in america we have learned to try and find the best of the worst. Not the worst of the worst. |

Bush may be an idiot , but that usually goes without saying when we are referring to presidents. The world is having problems and the usa in no exception to these problems. I dont agree with many of the moves bush has made, but at the current time he is doing the best anyone in his position could do ( normal people aside as normal people dont get to be president , that would make to much sense .) Of all the political leaders we have , who would you rather be running the country ? People rarely vote anymore. If you took all the people who didnt vote in the last election and let them pick a choice it would be a shoe-in. Personally although very silly to admit i almost wish we had voted in ross perot 2 rounds ago. |

Yea, the world is having problems... We have had them in the past and will have them in the future. Hell, no politician really cares about the public, they only do just enough to get elected/re-elected. None of the leaders ever have kept their campagin promises, hell, look at daddy bush when he said "Read my lips, No new taxes". Then what, new taxes. Little Bush is the offspring of daddy bush, the people should have known the nut does not fall far from the tree, but at least daddy bush knew how to run a business... GW ran every busines he ever had control over into the ground, so we elect him to do the same to the country. Sorry, this country is in sad shape and is really not getting any better. It may till the election is over, then it will be back to shit again. Agree or not, you cannot ignore the facts, Regan, Bush and Bush did nothing for this country except hurt it. Clinton was not that much better, but I would rather see a president getting blowjob than a president creating new agencies to invade my privacy. Think they are not watching your internet? Think again. They are watching EVERYONE right now. Speak of revolution, or some other unthinkable act and see how fast they come knocking down your door. Fuck the rest of the world, we need to mind our own fucking business, if someone brings the fight here, then we fight back. For example.... I think you have something of mine but have no real proof, just hearsay of others... so I invade you home and kill your two children... is that right? I am not saying that saddam and his sons were angels... hell they were bad men, but they did nothing to us that would justify war. They may have weapons and may use them on us is not good enough. That is their country, how they treat their people is their business, we are not the worlds police. I cannot see how anyone can think this man is doing a good job. Not anyone with half a brain anyway. Can't we just once get a leader in office that does not care about the power, money or status and will do what is right for the people? There has to be someone out there that is still honest. I mean the whole world can't be corrupt... can it? |

PS - The only thing I have against Clinton.. ok 2 things...
1. Lying to the american public on national tv about the affair. 2. allowing that damn tobacco lawsuit to happen. Sorry, they should have penalized the tobacco comapnies and not the end user. They lied about it's safety, we didn't yet we suffer these high prices... What a crock of shit. Hell, I ahve been smoking for over 22 years.. I read the label before I started... I knew it could be dangerous to my health... fuck that asshole and that fucking lawsuit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]() Other than that, I think he did a good job. |

Anyone with a sane mind can agree the election was so twisted to the american public that by the time it was over , it was in the best results of the public and america to go with what we had, And that was a close race decided by a very few amount of people. Trust me the democrats tried every trick in the book to try and make it look like a conspiracy, but in the end the facts didnt work like that. If it boiled down to the chads, then bush won regardless of what way you want to look at it. The ACTUAL amount of votes thrown out didnt/wouldnt have affected the totals. quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Originally posted by Smokey The Bear The media coverage was intense and in no way was it slanted towards the republicans as the media is not on that wing. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote:
democrat oriented, so it wouldnt make sense that they tried to cover it up for bush as it wouldnt help them in any way ? All they talked about at the time was bush and how he was cheating the american public , yet public opinion is not always swayed by prejudice information. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Originally posted by Smokey The Bear Ever heard of marc rich ? Ever wonder why you would pardon a thief ? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote:
In 1983, Rich was indicted in federal court of evading more than $48 million in taxes. He was also charged with 51 counts of tax fraud and with running illegal oil deals with Iran during the hostage crisis. These deals resulted in american being killed Clinton pardoned him for a $1 million dollar bribe made to the clinton party by marc rich's wife. Quote:
Bush hasnt done any of the things you mention. Unemployment hasnt really changed , the poverty levels in america havent really changed much , and debt hasnt really changed either. Clinton got to ride an easy train as usa was not having the troubles they are now. These troubles were not created by bush they just happened to fall in his lap while he is in office. For the record , i dont like bush much either, and would hope america feels the same when he goes up for re-election. BUT you cant make up false accusations to get your point across . PERIOD Clinton got alot of americans killed , put us in alot of debt, and put lots of americans out on the street, So have all the presidents. But you cant compare the 2 presidents that way. Clinton didnt have to deal with 9/11 he didnt have to deal with terrorism, he didnt have to deal with corporate honcho's stealing money from the public. Sometimes you have to look at both the good and the bad and come to your own conclusions. Im just saying keep an open mind instead of blaming the USA and GEORGE BUSH for all the problems we have today. |

Would this be the same government with a department (CIA) that gave false information to the president about Iraq related intelligence? Or maybe the government that professed as having all sorts of proof to justify the Irag war... then shows none of this proof? Ahhh... Bush huh?
All he had to do before invading Iraq was say "Look, we feel that Iraq poses a major threat to the US but we abide by the WILL of the United Nations and world community" Think of the respect and cooperation he would have received if he played that card. How many nations would have stood with him and then kept the heat on IRAQ. Instead, invasion, chaos, millions more hate us. Those that used to defend us have also lost their faith. His administration wanted Iraq from the beginning. They used Sept 11th as an excuse. US soldiers are dying because they wanted to take care of unfinished business. That doesn't mean I don't think the iraqis are the most ungrateful bastards this world has ever seen. The economy? That flows along regardless of who is in the administration. Ever hear of a cycle?

ok, forget the name.... let's say there's some German commander over there, who decides one day that he wants France, and wants to keep his troops there owning the country pretty much, and sell up all of it's utilities to German companies. The UN says no, but that German guy decides to go ahead and do it anyway. Does the UN still lack balls? |

The estimated population of the United States is 292,616,547
so each citizen's share of this debt is $23,693.12. The National Debt has continued to increase an average of $2.64 billion per day since September 30, 2003! Concerned? Then tell Congress and the White House! http://brillig.com/debt_clock/ |
