Sometimes this can skip a generation, or even ten generations. Other factors should be taken into account, how many times a family has been bred outside their bloodline. I'm not saying that gay people are retarded. But the mechanics and the plumbing we've been all born with, does not comply with homosexuality due to procreation. |

Who really cares? Does the marriage system in modern society serve much real purpose anyways?

I've said it before and I'll say it again. People are born gay, just like heterosexuals are born that way. It's natural who they love and want to be with, they don't choose who they like, no more than us heterosexuals do. No law should prohibit that. This is the year 2003, not the 19th century witch burning era. The law should have been changed decades ago, but I guess the religious freaks wouldn't allow that.
Yes I am a Republican, but I'd be a fool to deny the way the human body and mind is made. We are born the way we are... and no one should try to tell us it's wrong. Gay people don't tell heteros to turn gay, why should we tell them what to do? They are humans just like everyone else and should have equal rights. :2 cents: |

Gay people should be forced to wear "Gay Collars". These collars will allow us to keep track of where they are at all times so as to thwart any attempts at marriage or other activities that offend us and our God.

I have no problems with gays. My best friend is a lesbian, my wife is friends with a gay couple, and of course I'm rather fond of Dawgy (woof!). I've never seen any of them to do drugs. EVER.
However - Marriage is defined as a union between a man and a woman. If gays wish to have some kind of legal union, I'm all for it. But it's not a marriage. |
I think it's ironic that people (usually christians) say that marriage is only for a man and woman with such ignorance. The marriage vows you take during a church wedding are based on the very same vows Ruth and Naomi (in the book of ruth) told to each other. The first marriage vows were between what some people believe were lesbians or at best two women who vowed to live their lives together.
I have no problem with people saying that marriage is for straight people as long as it's not based on the bible. I for one do believe in civil unions. What the government calls gay marriage is of no consequence. It will still be considered marriage in 70% of the population if not more, and those that want to believe it's not a marriage can. As long as the same benefits apply, who cares what they call it. |

I don't think it is up to anyone except the person(s) involved...shouldn't be classified as right or wrong either. Judging people by who they love is really closed-minded. |
What a Great range of views - Thanks Guys !!
BUT for me the best was sumed up by " TheLegacy" which in part read " As much as gay marriages may offend some of you - ingorance and a closed mind offends others " |
