So...

Communications satelites orbiting our planet and all the noise it emits has managed to span over 400 different star systems.
What if...

Aliens understand the logic in our communications and programming and send a digital signal back that hits our communications systems.

What would they send?

First thing that does come to mind is, potentially an AI type. Somthing that would smarten up and begin manipulating our very race via information we recieve every day.

The outset may not be a bad perspective but such a thing could impact elections, wars, points of view and introductions to newer technologies. Not to mention prepare the populace for events out of our control even such events as "First contact", Without any of us ever knowing it.

Imagine it could already be happening...
