Might add that the mic. in Gl2 is crap so you will need an external mic. if sounds matter to you ... we have a real good Senheiser and the sound is now perfect.....

Sony VX2000
I've used Canon GL2 and XL1S, I've used other 3CCD cameras as well but nothing compares to Sony VX2000. Excellent controls, excellent lens, excellent low-light, excellent steadyshot ... I can go on and on...
