And yes a lawyer is useless as you dont have much of a legal leg to stand on , you would do much better with threats and intimidation. Well start off nicely. but move to threats really quick. And dont take no for an answer |

Great..
I like this part.. "Fact of the Day Warning To Players December 1, 2000 Starnet is known as the slowest to pay the players, if they pay at all and its biggest shareholders involved in strip clubs, prostitution and drugs. A warning to players: Never give Starnet your credit card number. " |
They had tweaked the Governments nose by inviting the Antiguan gaming minister to Vancouver to do seminars. You just don't challenge the government on gaming revenue.
There is lots more to it...They were they guys who had the cameras in the No. 5 and some rumoured connections with the 81's. http://formeraboutguides.com/investi...b/aa082399.htm |
After the RCMP raided Starnet's office Meldon Ellis panicked and he decamped to Antigua, leaving his pregnant wife behind in Vancouver.

Problem is you can not go the legal route with this, since online gaming is illegal.
I might know someone who can help, let me give them a call. If he says I can give you his contact information I will need to get a hold of you Boneprone some how since I am not going to post it here... =) V |
The problems they had with the canadian goverment were mostly due to there adult business that was sold off.

Boneprone,
Check your other thread on this. It had a link to a gambling board that has a rep that was looking to help you. He does not want this type of shit on a gambling board so over there this would cause them to pay attention. I also did a small deposit with these dopes and had some issues. It is resolved pretty much in that they have said they sent a check which I am waiting on. BUT if it does not come I am going to their home and shit on them. |
Bone.. ICQ me, I have a solution for you.

Shoplifter, Tony, Smoky, Volantt, it seems you guys have some good insight on this matter.
In your opinion do you think I will be paid? Truthfully I think I will. Its just some kind of hastle but I think I will. Eventually. Im not mad, nor am I throwing out threats to them.. Im just very concerned about my money. The posts about trying to screw them, or go with a baseball bat and that kinda shit is not the kinda of shit I need to hear. Like I said, im not mad. Im concerned. At this moment I have nothing to be mad at I realize for there is still a very good chance I will be paid. It is when I am told flat out Im not getting paid this concern turns to anger. But I dont think it will reach that point. I just want to walk away from this with a good feeling about this is all I want.. And my money. They handle enough action, 16k should be easy for them. Why get in a tiff for 16k wouldnt make sence for them would it? |
Just some simple reading for you Boneprone.... This company(s) is the owner/operator of sportsbook.com

I really dont want to have to slander them on some gambling message board if this is all just a misunderstanding.. Which I think it is. To have this issue on a high profile gambling board like what your friend runs would not be good. Last thing I need to do is bash the company who has my money on a board in thier industry. Thats not going to make them happy or solve my problem I think.. I dont want a war, I want a resolution and with cool and calm heads.. For now anyway. |

You can post in the thread one month from today if Im still not paid. |

I've done some research on "World Gaming Plc" which owns Starnet et al. It seems you will probably from my point of view need a miracle to get paid. Those are edgar filings for the company, not to promising for a company that doesn't make a profit. And has lawsuits up the wazoo. I have a friend in the banking world that might shed some light, will give him a e-mail shout and see what he can dig up.
---- Edgar SEC Filings ------- "At September 30, 2003, the Company had $2,675 in cash and cash equivalents, up from $1,753 at December 31, 2002. The increase in cash was primarily as a result of a $1,500 investment received in April 2003 from Goodison Park Ltd. Cash was used to settle many of the Company's most urgent financial commitments as explained below." V |
www.PhoenixSports.com is a big sports better forum.
Report this shit over there and see if you can get your problem solved GFY style. |
BP--
You most probably will never see a dime from them. Sucks. If you want though, why don't you sue the piss out of them? |

Just sue them for money owed and court cost... and hire a great lawyer...they will end up paying for him/her.

Sorry it had to be said. Seriously i think if you can talk the talk you might get your money back , but your gonna have to pull some strings and possibly kiss a little ass to do it. Always bet locally. Is the best advice , but since its too late for that. I suggest making the calls and find someone in N.A. you can Squish , and hope money pops out. What really matters to them is losing money , so if they stand to lose more money by NOT giving you your cash back they will fork over what they owe you. If they think they can stiff you they will laugh and walk away with your loot. ( just like the adult industry or any industry for that matter ) Chat up some lawyers and find out your best route. Chat up some gamblers and see what they have to say. Dont dismiss that help line i mentioned earlier. Ask them who runs the show , phone up mr soloman and talk him to death. If you annoy the piss out of them they just might figure your more pain than the money is worth. Find out the affiliates , and contact them as well . Even the hosting and software companies might at least give you more leads. |
interesting thread.
