Netscape with Norton AV running works nice.
 We've used it for mail since 94 and never had a problem.

The mail program in Opera browser is fairly straight forward and simple to use.

I used to use Eudora way back when. I use Netscape now and am pretty pleased with it. I never have liked Outlook.
