Obiously there is only one person who will be able to tell us if the following theory is true (hint: he wears tinted glasses all the time and is a zillionaire with good taste in cars) but the fact is:

The intrusive advertising on GFY seems to be a reaction to all the desperation marketing that sig whores and the companies that support them are practising by invading threads, random bullshit posting, etc.

this has to be the worst add design ever, look at the color scheme may as well of used bright yellow and black. next time hire someone who isnt from high school art class to do designs. punks.

People will pay whatever, and do whatever to get noticed.

Not easy to get noticed in a crowded market.
