Soft Cell and Gerry Rafferty did have other chart hits so not OHW's as such....

Heaps of repeats also in the list....eg Turning Japanese already mentioned (and it was by the Vapors I believe)

Shutupa you face was by an Italian/Aussie called Joe Dolce I believe

Great list here folks!

It is a great song but it was done by a band named 'Steelers Wheel' - maybe Rafferty was in it? dunno.

I think people different definitions of what a 'one hit wonder' is. To me it's a musical artist/group that has ONE Top 10 hit then fades into total obscurity. The OHW lists I was looking at the other night had people on them who had good careers - like Twisted Sister is listed as a OHW. Grateful Dead only had one tune that ever got Top 40 airplay.

yea thats pretty much what im talking about.

i would SERIOUSLY SERIOUSLY discredit anyone that tried to label grateful dead as a one hit wonder.

ICP (aka insane clown posse) - huge cult following, not so much radio play

technically, i guess these artists are underground 90% of the time but its definately more than enough to carry them
