I want to make an ezine for print and I have no idea what's the sofware available to do this. I remeber quark xpress a long time ago. What's hot right now?

Adobe makes both InDesign and Pagemaker, and they put all their effort into InDesign... Pagemaker isn't really up to the job anymore. InDesign is rivaling Quark now.
