Anyone have one of those Ronco rotisserie ovens?

I've been seeing the commercials for those things for years and I'm seriously considering buying one. Do any of you own one? Is it as sweet as the commercials make it look? Is it worth four easy payments of $39.99 each?

I don't have the Ronco one, but I love the one that I have. Might be able to get a better price at your local WalMart or Target.

Chef Tony's mighty pro grill is great and his knife is great, been thinking about the rotisserre myself as well, but I don't think I would use it more than once a month which is why I'm not buying it.

It is one of those things that although it sounds too good to be true on the TV, it really is as good as it says it is.

Once you eat a few chickens that have been cooked on it, you will be using it more often. Lots of stuff you can cook on it as well, not just chicken.

I have had my rotiss' for about 4 years or more and its the best thing I ever bought---

I am not kitchen domestic and this is truly set it and forget it cooking.......

The times per pound is an estimate, its trial and error and do keep a notebook for reference.......

Babyback ribs peel off the bone, cornish hens are super juicy as are chickens and prime rib......

Its a 5 star appliance and alot of my friends own them as well and love them.

Do you have the Thunderstick? I have the Thunderstick

Man, the praise is just pouring in for this thing. Just set it and... FORGET IT! Haha.

Thanks for all the replies and I especially like the recipe and cooking suggestions that are starting to slip in

Edit: LeeNoga - I am not a rib person, myself, but I have two Cornish game hens sitting in the fridge right now. I can't wait to try those out in the rotisserie.

I can't believe Roy got himself eaten by a tiger barely a month after I moved here. Now I will never get to see the show.
