I agree - I stopped taking my laptop to shows about a year ago. If I really need to check something, there are tons of internet connections on the show floor or I can bum a connection from someone else.

it is a job..I need to check my emails, etc. Not everyone I deal with will be at the convention and it might be the only way to arrange meetups with those that are going to be at the show.
