They only have to pay until the patent is invalidated, then payment stops. Someone who signed with them posted that here. I don't remember where it is. Do your homework..this stuff has all been posted already.

As of today, there are no plans for Bill and I to have dinner. As for tomorrow, who knows? I can not predict the future. Maybe Microsoft and other mainstream entities will help and maybe not. I am not worried about it. Our own community has been phenomenal help thus far. We are REALLY REALLY looking forward to our day in court.

If anyone wants more pespective on Acacia from all sides, call us, call Acacia and decide what is best for your company.

M$ is all about making money and opportunities your right, so waht would stop M$ from partnering with Acacia to venture on something much larger and make use of the patent(s) to M$ benefit?

Acacia didn't buy that patent to go against Microsoft!

They will get all the money they can from the little guy like you and then dump the patent on some fool who has no clue what he is buying, thus avoiding the big expensive fight, and making more than thay paid for it (patent).

Their is no money or increase in value to fight the big guys, just pump it up, then dump for a nice profit. These kind of companies never hold anything for long, they just get all they can out of their investment then move on to the next.

I would tend to agree with you on that except for one thing.. they sued Sony and others regarding V-Chip... durring the 8 years in litigation they got $24Million in licensing from other companies!

I can only speculate that this time they were getting the small guys to pick up steam... get revenue.. then go after the big guys.

I've been on this baord for over 2 years now and all of a sudden you show up and the next thing you know you're like the spokesman for the cause against ACACIA.

However I don't know you. I don't know what programs you run, what sites you run.

You have just kind of pushed your way into this community coming as if you think you're some sort of "expert" on this whole affair.

Not trying to disparage anyone putting up a good fight.

But my question still stands...who are you? which takes me to my 3rd question.

I've had a successful site for 3 years and came to this community a few months back because of the changing Visa regulations. I, like others I know in the business, wasn't part of the adult online "community" I never needed to be. I was fine making money on my own and with the contacts I knew.

I've explained before my situation with a 9 month wrongful lawsuit I got out of. Search GFY and do your homework. I don't like people doing the wrong thing.

After Visa.. the Acacia thing came to light and I've been searching for prior art.. digging around.. getting information ever since.

I think people who want a clear picture of the real situation regarding this should listen to me because I'm giving you information you can dig deeper with.. ask questions and come to your own conclusions. I've posted questions regarding Holio and a case against Acacia. Why is there a case? What does it entail? etc etc. I've posted a prewritten letter with questions people should ask their sponsors and billing companies via email and demand a response. People can use these email in court, if they ever have to go, to find out how Acacia got their info.

I'm addressing the concerns of our community and helping you take action and get answers. If you don't want to listen to me and take action.. get answers that's fine. Why listen to me when you can read a million other Acacia threads where people are doing nothing but bitching the whole time? You're right. Maybe it is better people just post and complain and not take action. Exactly what Acacia wants.

Aside from Visa and Acacia I've come here to make connections in the industry and take things to the next level. Unfortunately I haven't found GFY as a place where that might happen. The good thing about my position here is noboby here pays my bills.. nobody has done anything for me and I have no allegiance. I can call it as I see it.. within limits and without being libelous.

Yeah that is something to think about. I think it would just be easier and better business sense to get Acacia out of the picture this way... why take the hassle and time to go through other avenues? HG and M$ have the same attorneys... etc etc. It all just makes sense.

Acacias' patent is weak... people are finding prior art left and right. Software companies and techs that created this are on our side. Who is Acacia going to have testify on their behalf? Who? I do like the fact that you're thinking outside the box.. this is good!
