Fantastic, that is the part I am having a hard time with. I am not so sure I understand or agree with "high culture/authentic culture". At times I do, at times I dont. Its what I am working on right now and what my advisor/professor did his thesis work on.

I hope to get to some post modernist reaction to Adorno, I'll read anyones criticism of course. This guy is a tough read, my background is not in philosophy and my knowledge of Marxism is marginal to non existant compared to this guy. Marx is damn near impossible to read. I want to move on next to some neo-gramscian work on hegemony as it fits right in.

I've been banned twice.

Before I was Joe Sixpack I was Joe Blow (not Joe_Blow). Both times I was banned because I had a go at Lensman and/or had a bitch about my stats for one of his programs.

So the fastest way to get banned is to piss Lensman off.

In all fairness I should add that I am doing quite well with a trickle of traffic I am sending to 10 dollar cash.

Do you have a favorite living Philosopher. I did a report on a semi famous Philosopher who taught at UC Berkley and may still be teaching (and whose name I cannot recall at the moment). He attempted to philosophize about the "Anatomy of a Riot" which referred to one of the Berkley protests/riots from the 60's during the Vietnam era. I really don't think the work was "doing philosophy" but I found the "Anatomy of a Riot" to be fascinating.
