Without correcting your half truths...I have repeatedly stated that the US government does what it has always done and that is to act in its own perceived best interest. If there are mistakes made (and there have been) then so be it. If there are unforseen and/or unfortunate consequences (and there have been) then so be it. The US has never worn a white hat...but does wear a gray hat...some such as yourself apparently believe the US wears a black hat and joins in the feelings of the muslim world that the US is the great Satan.

The US...because of its policies...domestic and foreign...has become the richest most powerful country the world has ever known. If you and others in the world do not like that...then so be it. It is something that you and others in the world have to live with...like it or not and all of your pissing and crying about it will not change it.

Sadly, I know this to be true since I have met a few now who know the benevolence of the US. Oddly, this has never been to their advantage. I can't understand why they think the US is greedy and arrogant - it might be because they have seen more than me tho.

I do not condone...all that the US has done in the past...and I am sure that I will not condone all that it will do in the future. I have chosen not to become a political activist...so I have one role and only one role in the changing of my countries policies...should I disagree with a given policy...and that is as one man...one vote. I complain to my Congressman more frequently than his staff prefers...I am sure...I try to keep myself informed...and I excercise my power of the vote...city wise...county wise...state wise and national wise. Having said that...I would not choose to be any other than an American.

There were many types of materials sold to Iraq by private enterprise that could be used for dual purpose. When the government eventually learned what was being sold to Iraq and some of the uses that Iraq was using the materials for...private enterprise was proscribed from certain sales...but even then a few companies continued to sell proscribed goods and some were punished for this.

Name a single "weapon" that the US government...or private enterprise sold to Iraq. Helicopters were sold...but not as a weapon platform...some cluster bombs were sold...indirectly...and cluster bombs are a weapon...but even they were not sold on any large scale.

No tanks...no fighter aircraft...no artillary...no missiles...no small arms...so please name the "weapons".

How are the classes going [Labret]? If you recall my brother would have his Masters completed this December...but he dropped his classes. He started up with his business and between it and a full time job at the college...in addition two hours per day commute time...in addition instructing 3 hours per week...he saw that he was just to overloaded. The sad part is that the classes he needs to complete will not be available again until next fall. I had told him that he should not open the business until after December...but he is his own man.

So far so good. Trying my hardest to 4.0 it this semester, trying to offset the damage I did fucking off the first couple years. I feel his pain. Although instead of dropping school I just quit working as much. Now my biggest pain is getting my ass up by 8:30 am, which kills me. Spent the last 6 years living with no schedule and having one now is tough.

I have never seen the UN rapidly deploy anything at all, and the Military Presence of all but a small handful of Member Nations is only Symbolic in Nature......so if you come from one of the Countries deploying troops in numbers greater than....say....10 I might be inclined to listen to you, otherwise you should STFU because your country means SHIT to the UN and will not ever make a difference in the problems at hand that we all face.
