I shouldn't have said "clear"..... I should say I don't delete them... what I meant was, I run the archiver on all folders once a month.... stores everything in one huge ass file backup. Anytime I need to go back to find something, it's all there. Archiver rocks...

do you actually delete your emails? i keep all mine in archives, by month. only thing i permanently delete is spam. have all my email sent & received for last 3 years.

my outlook.pst file is almost a gig. lol


hey quiet what email program do u use on mac? im thinkin of getting one of those 17" powerbook thingies...

I had problems in the past, when you let your files grow too much, you can't delete anymore by big chuncks, it's always crashing...

i only recently switched to OS X. i use 'mail'. the 17 inch pb kicks ass.

AMP: i also should have mentioned, i back up everything (including all email) 5 years back - but it's all on a separate disk.

yeah, in outlook in the personal folders, each month has its own folder.... in the end, its still just one big outlook.pst file, but its easy to move back & forth between computers when i travel.

huh? You're not using the archiver? It makes separate pst files... not outlook.pst...

ooh shit. those are hot swappable tho arent they? can u tell me what drives u buy? just curious. considering a move over to mac completely, but starting with the travel
