is it time to clear my sent box? what are you at?

I'm at 153, but I clear mine once a month....

17 here, i clear mine daily.

for whatever reason (read: issues) i have a hard time deleting sent mail. though in truth, it's been helpful looking up something i sent out a year or two ago...

1880 in sent box. And YES it is very helpful for me to go back and research things and remember what and when I said them.

I shouldn't have said "clear"..... I should say I don't delete them... what I meant was, I run the archiver on all folders once a month.... stores everything in one huge ass file backup. Anytime I need to go back to find something, it's all there. Archiver rocks... :)

do you actually delete your emails? i keep all mine in archives, by month. only thing i permanently delete is spam. have all my email sent & received for last 3 years.

my outlook.pst file is almost a gig. lol


hey quiet what email program do u use on mac? im thinkin of getting one of those 17" powerbook thingies...

I had problems in the past, when you let your files grow too much, you can't delete anymore by big chuncks, it's always crashing...

i only recently switched to OS X. i use 'mail'. the 17 inch pb kicks ass.

AMP: i also should have mentioned, i back up everything (including all email) 5 years back - but it's all on a separate disk.

you make actual separate archives for each month? Mine's all in one huge ass file.... I wish I had it all broken into separate files... that'd be better

sweet. ive heard good things. do you have that 200gb external firewire drive? the 80gb just isnt enough for me. i mean for apps & shit it is, but if i wanna travel with content, etc... i need more space.

yeah, in outlook in the personal folders, each month has its own folder.... in the end, its still just one big outlook.pst file, but its easy to move back & forth between computers when i travel.

huh? You're not using the archiver? It makes separate pst files... not outlook.pst...

i have several terabytes of external drives lol. remember, i have to deal with uncompressed digital video.

ooh shit. those are hot swappable tho arent they? can u tell me what drives u buy? just curious. considering a move over to mac completely, but starting with the travel :)
