Fucking Spring PCS

My cell got stolen a couple of weeks back and Sprint not only is still charging me for the time I have not been using the phone, but I will now have to pay full price for a new one. They won't let me get the discount since I'm not a new customer.

Told them to go fuck themselves that I would rather pay full price elsewhere.

That's cool...but it's a principle issue right now.

Fuck them. I won't EVER use their cell service again.

Not one single idiot I spoke with understands the concept of a earning a customer for life.

Not looking for something for free, but damn work with me...especially since I was only 2 months into their contract with them.

Needless to say I cancelled my account...real smart on their part.

Yeah, pretty much all of the cell phone comapnies have really poor customer service. I think verizon was rated the best in some survey but it still sucked.

Yup, you'd think that being a paying customer is just as if not more important than a new/potential customer. Guess not...this goes out to all the Mobile Phone Companies

Paying customer is worth more.

I just got off of the phone with one of their top guys. This guy wasn't supposed to call me back for 2 days, but he calls me back within 1 hour...LOL

Anyway he told me..."the buck stops here." They were not going to work with me, he would not give me the number of the supervisor that was over him...that basically if they lost me as a customer they had 16million others.

His analogy was that if he were a bicycle shop owner and sold me a bike at a discount and my bike was stolen at a later date they would not be able to give me another bike at a discount because they would lose money.

I told him WRONG analogy.

His business was more like Kodak's business model where they gave away cameras for free because they learned that there was money to be made in people purchasing film and paying for processing.

Which in the mobile phone world is why they give away their phones at reasonable discounts...because they make their money off of the service plans, and all the extra bs people pay for like games, ringers etc.

He tried to pass off some bullshit that they give these phones at such an incredible discount that they don't make any money off of a customer unless they have been with them for a year...either way I told him they won't be making any more money off of me and that I would do my best to make sure people heard nothing but bad things about Sprint PCS.

I worked for MCI until recently. They don't care about customer retention. They can earn a new one anyways.

Customer service in telecom is horrible.

The people working for the companies don't give a shit also.
When people said: "You suck, I am cancelling and telling everyone how horrible you are!"
I almost added every time: "Fantastic. Don't forget to tell your sister, too. Thanks for calling MCI. Bye!"

They have NO reason to even TRY to save you as a customer. They get SALES credits, not SAVES credits.

But in small business and such - we obviously care a lot more as we are closer with the customer and the sale.

It isn't bullshit. I can get a phone worth $700 for free with a two year $30/mo contract. Although they get the phones at cheaper prices, it takes them over a year just to break even (keep in mind that the contract also includes several hours of free calling a month and such).
Doing something like that twice within a short period for a single customer means they would be taking a HUGE risk... if the customer leaves after the contract expires, they'll actually have lost money.

In all fairness, it's your own fault for not getting the thing insured.

Insurance was NEVER offered.

When I purchased the phone the guy at Radio Shack had to go through such an ordeal that many things were missed and I had to call Sprint to get it corrected...hell I didn't even know I could get it insured...seriously. I've only owned 2 cell phones in my life this was my 2nd.

Edited to add...my sister purchased hers on the same plan 2 weeks later...once again insurance was NEVER offered.

Believe me they will never see another dime from me.

If I could get rid of my home phone service and dsl I would...but I'm stuck with them.

I've been a Sprint PCS customer since 99' - couldn't be happier!

Just bought a new picture phone - not super quality but fun to play with. Here's a pic of porn director Paulo Banana and a couple of hotties from an adult video shoot we did in LA this past weekend.
