There are many valid points raised above, and a few more to boot!! As summary from us:

#1 Gay men/couples in the majority have a far higher disposable income than their straight counterparts.

#2 Gay men KNOW what they like, and what they are looking for.... this is the main why exclusive content works so well for conversions and retention.

#3 Gay men are "generally" more comfortable and open about their sexuality and sexual practices than straight men - surfing and viewing porn is not an undergorund habit in most cases, but a significant pastime.

In general, some sites may convert better than others. But I dont believe niches follow that rule. It all depends on how you advertise the niche that will dictate how well it converts.

Actually there was a study done several years ago (all anonymous) by some university like yale or the likes where they played straight porn and gay porn to a mixed audience of men and women.
