She does not know why and she wont go to the doctor... I know she has had ovarian cysts removed before and she is afraid she might have more again...

Would that have anything to do with it?

Yes, it could potentially be the meds.. Generally anything with hormones can affect the sex drive, and anything that directly affects the ovaries even more so. Is she on the pill?
