Tangible goods. Ibill is HORRIBLE! Suggestions please!?!

When CCnow used to accept adult sites, my then video sales ( did not have dvds' yet ) were awesome. Then they stopped processing adult sites about a year and a half ago. Then with Paypal, sales were again awesome. We all know what happened with that.

Okay.....so that left me with no other option that I saw, other than Ibill. My sales are only 25% of what they were with CCnow, and Paypal. And I know that Ibill is the problem. First of all, their shipping instructions do not accept many "basic" keyboard characters, and orders get denied. I know this because I get a 3 to 1 ratio, of sales turned down due to errors, then I do actual sales.

If you put a "# sign" for a PO box, the order is turned down. I have told my rep, and their tech support dept, MANY times about this; yet they still claim, they are looking into it! I am SO SICK of this runaround.

So can anyone offer a solution? I don't like Stormpay's way of doing it, because you actually have to sign up with them, then verify everything through an email back from them; then go back to the site you wanted to order from in the first place. I have searched the web far and wide. I have looked at TONS of other sites, to see what they may be doing; but with no answers.

Anyone have any ideas for me?

Thanks so much, for taking the time to read this!

I have no suggestions, but I used to sell tangibles from IBill and I had what I thought was a large amount of declines. I never looked into it much, it was my first sales venture on the internet and assumed it was the norm.

Were most of your orders in the US?

If so, use check processing & ship when the payment clears.

lorsha, I would be happy to set you up with an account here at PaySystems, provided the only processing is tangible goods. I could get you at a maximum 6% discount rate...email me or give me a shout...we could probably get it done by tomorrow.

Cheers

RE: Paysystems

Beware Lorsha.... Get Everything signed by their underwritter ( Shawn Forrest ). Sales person is worth nothing. They terminated my account ( 8% processing fee, 0.45 per transaction, 10% holdback) for no reason:

Total Transactions: 184
Total Volume: 13,568.60 USD
Average Ticket Size: 81.88
Products Defined: 348
Catalogs Defined: 2
Mailing list subscribers: 147

Registered Chargebacks: 0
Chargeback Volume: 0.00 USD
Chargeback Percentage: 0.00 %

Not a single chargeback. I was assured by their sales people ( Nick Meletis) after reviewing all my sales thru CCnow that I was perfectly OK with their system.

They cancelled with no notice on Dec.31 2002 ( and at that time, adult products were in the drop down menu of the sold product type - today they are in the prohibited section) without advice.

Also, they actually phone the clients a few days later to see if they received the merchandise, if they are satisfied. And this I now from first hand, since the first purchase thru them was done by ME.

While you have Ibill, get your own merchant account.

Here is the situation breakdown: we have decided that we want to commence doing business with the adult industry for check processing. I am putting myself in the major role in this move because I think it will be lucrative for myself and the company. I understand the importance of developing good relationships with the players in the industry and therefore plan on being on this forum every day, reading posts, responding to posts, etc. I am going to be at the Everythingtodowithsexshow and Internext, giving PaySystems a face to the adult industry, and I kinda like my face the way it is.

Directfiesta, I have addressed your concerns...you are taking legal action and I will allow the court of law to determine the outcome. You are correct, though; everything should be signed by underwriting...interesting enough, that is our policy...if it did not happen with your account, there was an error. When I first logged on here, I knew there would be a possibility of some former dissatisfied clients lashing out, but now you are just annoying me. Please, take a good look at the first 3 words in the address bar of your browser......

Thanks
James

Contact Mitch at net billing, we got our own merchant account for hard goods. We use Ibill for our adult site and are very happy with them but when we found out we could get a nonhigh risk merchant account to sell videos. So it would mean paying only 3% (that includes all fees) and no hold back, it was a no brainer.

2checkout.com

Was just registering with them, and discovered this:
Online Subscription Pornography & Adult Subscription Content
You can not sell any Adult subscription services, chat, or any pornography (pictures, videos, DVDs, magazines).

YET....I know of a LOT of sites using them......hmmm.......

Why would anyone sign up with a company that treats people like that?

YOUR company is the one who decided you were too holy for adult business.

Run along little one

Eric

We didn't decide we were too holy for anything. Our banks dictated to us that we could not process anything from adult companies because the risk of chargebacks was too high. When this happened, we were forced to lose all our adult merchants. We did not CHOOSE to do this; why would we turn down volume???

Now that we have launched PSeCheck, which is governed by NACHA and not MC and VISA, we are able to launch into the adult world again. Remember, we are actually a big one.... I am spending my time here because I understand that what is good for you is good for us. Learn the process before you start the ragging.

Thanks
James

If you need any drop shipping done for your products, please let me know.

Use multiple processors in ONE simple interface. Easy for you, your webmasters, and not to mention the fact that you and your webmasters will make AT LEAST 20% more $$$$$$$$$ compared to using only one processor. And especially using only one that dont work well...

Dont believe i? Ask the 60 program owners currently using it...

Get on the bus!!!

You might want to talk to Sammy & Brett. I know they've had a merchant account for years & sell tangible goods.

to edit my own post a bit late... be sure to go with Netbilling for your merchant account - MPA2 have implemented them as the prime processors for merchants selling tangible goods...

jacker, rather than cancel all your adult accounts when your bank said "no more adult" you could have used another bank. what if your current bank says the same thing?

I'm looking for an online billing solution for our company right now.. we sell computer products (hardware, software, components, color photocopiers) etc. to customers around the state(victoria australia) any aussies have suggestions here? know a bit about merchant accounts?( i'm thinking of writing a shopping cart myself though a solution that incorporated a very flexible cart would be perfect.

None of that middle man stuff for me.

My hubby and I keep three dvd burners going around the clock to keep up; but at least the profits stay with us.

Hi Jacker-
Who is heading up the adult side of things? I have been dealing with Guy. Is this the person I should be speaking with? What is your role at Paysystems?
I have a very bitter taste in my mouth regarding how I was dumped for adult products with only 10 days notice. During this period you guys continued to accept orders, then refunded them all after I shipped.

I thought you were lucky to have the 10 days notice... I didn't get 10 minutes!

On the other hand, all shipped orders were processed and paid ( aside from very few $$ to be collected).

So you really got hit hard...

lorsha, I would be happy to set you up with an account here at PaySystems, provided the only processing is tangible goods. I could get you at a maximum 6% discount rate...email me or give me a shout...we could probably get it done by tomorrow.
I have a customer who is also selling tangible goods. We are still using paypal with no problem though, even if it is "kind of adult" merchandise.

But he would like to have an Affiliate Prpgram too. Can you help ?

ICQ me !

Don't use paysystems.

Their servers time out when someone tries to purchase.

Not very bright. When "your" customer has thousands of dollars frozen for 6 months or longer, don't come crying to this board for sympathy.

The difference is that we were processing credit card payments through adult sites....now we are only processing checks. CC payments are governed by VISA and MC while check payments are governed by NACHA. Therefore, the regulations are more lenient with checks and adult is a go. We continue to maintain the banking relationships that were in place when adult was cut.

Cheers

Guy works in sales alongside me...his department focuses on obtaining credit card accounts; mine on obtaining check processing accounts. Having said that, I am planning on taking an active role in the adult world, on here, at shows, etc... I understand that there are a few people who have a bitter taste (just ask DirectFiesta)...I apologize...and I am going to do everything in my power to sweeten the taste.

Cheers
James

James is new to paysystems and obviously does not know who he is soliciting. I know many of the webmasters and producers first hand who contact me directly for consultation. I've been very busy and haven't been on for a while.

I specialize at paysystems in opening and managing High volume PSecheck accounts, Internet Billing Accounts, Direct Merchant Accounts - Euro - Asia - US as well as business development linking fulfillers with marketers. Please get your facts straight before mentioning other people?s names on chat forums to boost your sales, I wouldn't have done that you.
